May 23, 2025 | 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM | University of Tuscia, Aula Magna del Rettorato, Viterbo
Join us for a morning of presentations and discussion on transport poverty, featuring insights from the PRIN 2022 PNRR HAC VIA project. Researchers and experts will present conceptual frameworks, statistical analyses, and regional perspectives on transport accessibility and affordability in Italy.
The conference takes place within the framework of the HAC VIA research project – funded by the PRIN 2022 PNRR program, European Union Next Generation EU, Missione 4 Componente 1 CUP J53D23016910001 – and coordinated by the University of Tuscia. The project aims at exploring the transport poverty issue in terms of accessing services and opportunities related to employment, education and healthcare due to structural and economic barriers in transports.
The event titled “Transport Poverty in Focus: Insights from the HAC VIA project” will be an opportunity to share the research results obtained by researchers from the University of Tuscia and Pisa. In addition to the scientific presentations, photographic and video contributions will be showcased, offering a tangible and engaging representation of the phenomenon.
The conference contributes to SDGs 1 (No poverty), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) of the Agenda 2030, stimulating debate and ideas on how to make territories and cities more equitable and accessible for all.
